Hmmmm…. mine didn’t chip. Make sure you clean them really well and you may want to use a primer this time around just to be sure. Sorry to hear you had some trouble. That can be frustrating.

Something else that you will want to take into consideration is the overall height of the seat for each chair. Adirondack chairs are known for their relaxing slanted design. While this design does help to make them exceptionally comfortable, it does make getting up out of them a bit harder, especially if you have any mobility issues. This can be solved by getting a chair with a higher seat since it will allow you to keep your knees from flexing too much, which will make getting up a whole lot easier.
For regular maintenance wash your chair with soap and water. For deep cleaning or to remove fungi, use a solution of 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water. Fungi can also be removed using any readily available antifungal product. A high-pressure power washer may be used to keep your furniture looking new. Pressure should not exceed 1,500 psi. The surface characteristics of the product may require the use of a soft bristle brush to get into the creases. Don’t let this year be the year that you keep spending your money on inexpensive boring white plastic chairs that won’t clean and crack year after year. They aren’t sturdy, and our winds can easily tip them or blow them away!
Cypress: This popular wood has a beautiful grain and natural oils that protect it from bug infestations, warping, and rotting. A white acrylic stain is often used on cypress Adirondack chairs.

The sloped backrest is unique and makes daytime napping a breeze. It’s like a “permanent recliner!” Thanks to a smart design and supportive back rest, Adirondack chairs are the most comfortable types of outdoor seats you will find.

Oak is a high-quality hardwood and is one of the most sought-after woods for premium furniture. It is tough, durable, and elegantly smooth after sanding.

The most comfortable type of outdoor chair on the market is the Adirondack chair. Typically built with a backwards sloping seat and back that sits close to the ground. The back and seat are often contoured for additional comfort. Wide arms make it easy to get out of the chair.
Polywood’s chairs are virtually identical to the Trex-branded chairs reviewed below, though they are definitely cheaper and come in a more interesting range of colors. In fact, Polywood manufactures chairs for the Trex brand, and many of Polywood’s colors will match Trex’s colors.

Building Adirondack furniture is a time-honored craft. Sturdy and rustic, this furniture can be a beautiful addition to any indoor decor, although it's most often used to set the scene outdoors. There, the furniture is subjected to a lifetime of abuse. Yearly it moves from somewhere hidden away (probably dark and musty winter storage) to front-and-center on the summer stage. Now, hour after hour it is beaten on by intense UV light, drenched in driving rains, then fried again in the summer sun.

In general, cedar Adirondack chairs that are properly stained each year should last about 10 years. Redwood, acacia, and eucalyptus may have a longer lifespan at 15 years or more, but it depends on how well they're maintained. Pine and other less hardy woods may only last four or five years.
1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible Quality Control and Customer Service Terrible quality control. Ordered two and could not assemble; no matter what I tried, the bolt and pin hole alignment to secure the chair to the front legs were off by 3/4 of an inch. Customer service recording gives you a 3 minute presentation on the Covid impact to the Company and says they are not responding to any new inquiries. They suggest to check the website for assembly videos, which is of no help because the chair in the video of course aligns perfectly. Thankful for using Amazon, both are going back tomorrow. Top reviews from other countries Bought these for my trailer - look great and quality is good but over $400 is Overpriced but I needed something

Hey Becky, Did you clean the chairs really well before applying? This hasn’t happened to me, but I’m sorry you are having trouble. It may very much depend on how old the plastic is and if it is able to absorb the paint. Also did you happen to use a primer?

If you want to take a look at the general complexity of assembly, you can view the instructions here.
Maintenance is key to keeping the original color and aesthetics of mahogany. It is a suitable luxury alternative to teak and close rivals when it comes to choice.

2) Portability and Size— From the other reviews I knew that these were not really portable even though they are called “folding”. I also knew that these weren’t the full size Adirondack chairs. However, I was surprised at how small they really are. My spouse is 6’5” so this is an issue. While he can sit in it, it is more uncomfortable for him. I should have gotten the full size even though it would have been more expensive.
