Fir is resistant to rotting, decay, and insects and it is fairly waterproof. It doesn’t dry, swell, and warp from fluctuations in temperature, moisture, and pressure. The wood expands and contracts uniformly, maintaining stability.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible Quality Control and Customer Service Terrible quality control. Ordered two and could not assemble; no matter what I tried, the bolt and pin hole alignment to secure the chair to the front legs were off by 3/4 of an inch. Customer service recording gives you a 3 minute presentation on the Covid impact to the Company and says they are not responding to any new inquiries. They suggest to check the website for assembly videos, which is of no help because the chair in the video of course aligns perfectly. Thankful for using Amazon, both are going back tomorrow. Top reviews from other countries Bought these for my trailer - look great and quality is good but over $400 is Overpriced but I needed something
Don’t let this year be the year that you keep spending your money on inexpensive boring white plastic chairs that won’t clean and crack year after year. They aren’t sturdy, and our winds can easily tip them or blow them away!
Bring the style and comfort of Adirondack chairs to your porch, and consider giving these classic wooden chairs a fresh look with a coat of black or white paint.
1) Wood vs “Polywood” plastic— I was surprised at how much the polywood just felt like cheap plastic. However, it has held up over the summer really well as it still looks brand new. So I would buy the polywood/synthetic plastic again over wood.
Our Furniture is made from recycled plastic and is an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional outdoor wood furniture.

Overall I can’t really fault this chair, maybe the assembly could be easier but that’s not a big deal either. It’s oversized and very heavy duty which is what us plus size people need in an Adirondack chair. Also comes in a nice natural selection of colors, Weathered Acorn being our best pick.
Pine: While pine takes more maintenance than teak, it is far more affordable. This light wood slowly fades to an attractive gray. As a softwood, it’s more susceptible to dings, scratches, and, unfortunately, bugs. You’ll need to refinish it every year or two to keep the wood looking its best and to help protect it from the weather. But if upkeep doesn’t worry you and you’re on a tight budget, pine is an excellent choice.
