Love your idea and the color! Went out and bought the exact same color (satin lagoon). I scrubbed my 2 chairs with a brush and used the hose to rinse and let them dry for hours before painting. Ran out of paint before finishing my second chair. Had to wait about 2-3 weeks to finish a little bit of touch up on 1st chair (due to back problems). I waited at least 3 weeks before even thinking about sitting on it. I also kept it in the garage for several days to dry right after spraying it (so it wouldn’t get rained on). I used an old towel to dry off the raindrops and noticed blue paint! Now I’m afraid to let anyone sit on it. I didn’t use primer. Any suggestions?

Adirondack chairs are classically made out of wood; however, that may not be the best material choice for the outdoors. Our poly-wood collections are available in an abundance of bright colors to liven up any space, come in either classic or shellback, and they can be partnered with coordinating cushions for an even more inviting seating option.

The only thing to bear in mind with this chair is that the arms have a tendency to flex if you put too much weight on them when you stand up. This can be completely avoided as long as you put your hands on the ends of the arms. If you accidentally hold the middle every once in a while, it won’t negatively affect the chair. If, however, you always place your hands in the middle of the arm, it could break down over time. RELATED: 7 Greatest Adirondack Chairs — Enjoy Style and Comfort Wherever You Need It!
