These units are of similar quality to the Polywood chairs but come in a more muted color palette. They do have one nice extra feature: they recline. The reclining feature comes at a higher cost, though, and when it comes down to it, we prefer the colors available on the Polywood line. .
1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible Quality Control and Customer Service Terrible quality control. Ordered two and could not assemble; no matter what I tried, the bolt and pin hole alignment to secure the chair to the front legs were off by 3/4 of an inch. Customer service recording gives you a 3 minute presentation on the Covid impact to the Company and says they are not responding to any new inquiries. They suggest to check the website for assembly videos, which is of no help because the chair in the video of course aligns perfectly. Thankful for using Amazon, both are going back tomorrow. As for the size of the chair, it’s slightly smaller then the King Size Highwood brand. Which is probably to be expected having a smaller weight capacity of 300 pounds. The seat itself is just under 21″ wide and sits 14 inches from the ground. As for the back of the chair it’s also just shorter at 36.9 inches in height. Assembly is somewhat easier, but do note: Don’t over tighten the screws or you could damage the ends,or even worse crack the slat. Just go gently if using a drill.
The Adirondack chair (also called the Muskoka chair in Canada) was crafted of 11 flat wooden boards and had the classic straight-back seat and wide wooden armrests. This chair was originally designed by Thomas Lee while vacationing in Westport, New York — a small town in the Adirondack Mountains.
“There’s no comparison, if they don’t have the right dimensions,” she says, reclining in a replica chair outside Heritage House, a visitor and community center in Westport. “I can sit in one of these chairs for hours. I can sleep in these chairs. All of us want one to have because they’re so comfortable.”
Gliders: These chairs offer smoother movement than a rocker but still provide a rhythmic way to relax. Two-seaters/loveseats: Adirondack-style loveseats have two backs with one seat. They make a fun addition to your outdoor space if you need lots of extra seating. Cushions

Durability - Because poly-wood is a derivative of plastics it does not have an issue with water damage like real wood furniture. It is not a porous material so it can withstand harsh weather conditions. Likewise, it is not susceptible to mold or mildew like wood and pests are not an issue. Wood-damaging pests like carpenter bees or termites don’t attack poly furniture.

Hi Jamie. I didn’t prime them first. I just cleaned them and made sure they were dry before using 2 coats of spray paint.
The Trex line of chairs are great, they are just like our top choice the Polywood chairs! However, the color palette is staid, and you are paying a bit of a premium for the Trex brand name. They have the same 20-year warranty that Polywood does.
Gorilla Glue doesn't work. We have about 10 of these chairs with tables at our Lake house and they all eventually split, crack, etc. I tried every thing including Gorilla, Crazy, and any other glue, duct tape, etc. I now put a towel over chair to cover cracked part and "Forget about it". My husband saw the chairs for $12. at a local hardware store up at the lake house so when the towels wear out we will just spring for the new chair. Good luck and let me know if you have had any success with your repair efforts,
Don’t bother wrestling your old plastic patio furniture into your recycling container. Instead, give it a DIY facelift or donate it.
To prevent cracking, warping, and other weathering effects, eucalyptus must be regularly maintained. The lumber ought to be cut skillfully and waxed or finished with oil to ensure it is water-resistant.
