Quality Poly lumber outdoor furniture is getting more fans every year because it can weather everything from the blistering sun to brutal snow, ice and hail.A perfect choice for Upstate New Yorkers.
Therefore, if you choose to use acacia for Adirondack chairs that will be under the full glare of the sun, rain, and wind, you should be prepared for high maintenance. Otherwise, it is perfect for indoor Adirondack chairs or pieces for your patio.
There are several good deals on outdoor furniture at Ace Hardware. I know many areas of the country are covered in snow right now but Spring is coming and soon patio items will be getting picked over.
They have incredible strength and resilience against weathering and fires. Consequently, they come with a heftier price than softwoods.
Any time I’ve done detail like that, I’ve used really thin painters tape to get really clean lines. It means extra steps, but it’s worth it.
How many cans of pant per chair or how many chairs does one can of paint cover? Thank you BTW, do you remember where you got those particular plastic resin Adirondack chairs? I’m asking because the new batch of A-chairs out there have been redesigned and I do not like the so-called lumbar support bump that they have now. Also, I have looked all over for the former design of the matching footstools. The “old” footstools were flat, not sloped like the “new & improved” design. Another case of a redesign that doesn’t meet many customers wants and needs. Thanks!
Just bought four of these type of chair after doing a couple months of research into them (after seeing one for very cheap at Costco). Bought during the Memorial Day sale, buy 3 get one free, with free shipping. That sale seems to be over, but they still have a "special". They're not cheap, but are very comfortable, we like that the version we bought fold up nicely, and they have a relatively very long 20 yr residential warranty. We're expecting them to last for years.
