If you are in the market for a chair that you don’t need to put away each season and can stand up to whatever mother nature can dish out, then this is going to be the right option for you. This chair is made out of extremely durable Polywood lumber. This plastic lumber has been specially treated and manufactured in the USA to be completely weatherproof. No matter what type of weather it is put through, it will stand the test of time and keep looking great. Many times, lots of people like to think that the more expensive something is, the better the quality. While this does hold true to a certain extent, that is not always the case. In fact, even though this chair is certainly not the most expensive on the market, it does provide plenty of value for what it costs. For instance, this chair is one of the most durable on the market. This is mainly due to its high-quality hardware. The screws and bolts that hold this chair together are made with marine-grade steel, which means that you will never have to worry about them rusting out on you.
You can create a different mood for your backyard, lawn or patio by mixing and matching colors for a two-tone effect. For example you can use lime green, teal green, cool blues or powder blue with brilliant white for a “fresh look”. Or mix rich blues, greens, yellow, reds and orange to add vibrancy and excitement… Or use vivid deep colors such as burgundy, cedar, forest green to enhance your back yard wooded area.
Wooden chairs can be hard on your backside. Cushions are usually sold separately, but they can make your Adirondack chairs much more comfortable. You’ll need to make sure the cushion fabric repels water and resists fading in sunlight. Cushions should be removed in the winter months if you plan to leave the chairs outside year-round.

These units can be left outside year round, though Poly Lumber advises that in areas of significant heat (110’+) they are taken in or put in a shaded area. Winter weather is no match for these chairs! However, given that they fold up, you might as well take them inside.
All in all, its a very nice looking outdoors Adirondack chair. The fact it is made from very strong hardwood and comes in a variety of colors, including natural, it’s hard to not give this chair a chance. 300 Lbs Weight Capacity Adirondack Chair High Weight Capacity Chair By Lifetime This Adirondack chair is also made in the USA. Made from Polystyrene materials this chair can hold 300 pounds. While in my opinion the finish of the chair itself is not as wood like as the Highwood chair. But it’s still one heavy duty Adirondack chair not to be messed with.

The phrase “wilderness cure”—and the reputation of the mountain region as a healing environment—led to the establishment throughout the Adirondacks of sanatoriums to treat growing numbers of TB sufferers seeking to regain their health. Three years after Cook published his account, New York physician Edward Livingston Trudeau likewise turned to the mountains to save his own life. “He basically came up here expecting to die,” says Amy Catania, executive director of Historic Saranac Lake. Trudeau not only survived his tuberculosis but remained to establish a sanatorium and laboratory dedicated to TB research and treatment.
