Hi Sandy. I didn’t use primer either but didn’t have this issue so I’m not really sure. I have found that a nice thick coat is better than light coats in this case cause it makes a really hard laquer like finish. Sorry you are having trouble. Wish I was close so I could come take a look!
Wooden chairs can be hard on your backside. Cushions are usually sold separately, but they can make your Adirondack chairs much more comfortable. You’ll need to make sure the cushion fabric repels water and resists fading in sunlight. Cushions should be removed in the winter months if you plan to leave the chairs outside year-round. .
The only thing that you need to worry about with this chair is that it has a lower weight capacity rating than other models. This chair is by no means flimsy, but it can only hold up to 300 pounds. It is also a bit more narrow than other chairs, so keep this in mind before you make your final decision, as it will not be able to accommodate larger people very well. 2. Recycled HDPE (#2) plastic furniture is most likely not recyclable — because the recycled HDPE goes through a structural change when made into furniture — but is still a good choice because it uses fewer resources to produce than virgin HDPE plastic, and it is durable.
Plastic chairs are especially durable in comparison to wooden models, which makes them the ideal candidate to keep outdoors at all times. As long as you clean them off every few weeks or at least once a month, you should have no trouble with the chairs for many, many years.
Lots of small everyday household products, such as milk jugs, are made with HDPE. When you put those HDPE products in your recycling container, they’re often recycled into bigger everyday household products, such as trashcans, or — you guessed it — outdoor furniture. In the case of HDPE, the recycling process is sometimes referred to as “downcycling” because the original HDPE experiences some changes to its basic property types during the recycling process, and can’t be recycled a second time (when it’s in its outdoor furniture form).
