Durability - Because poly-wood is a derivative of plastics it does not have an issue with water damage like real wood furniture. It is not a porous material so it can withstand harsh weather conditions. Likewise, it is not susceptible to mold or mildew like wood and pests are not an issue. Wood-damaging pests like carpenter bees or termites don’t attack poly furniture.
Ipe wood lasts a good 3-5 decades without any finish or treatment and even much longer when treated, finished, and maintained periodically.
Our customers often drive several hours to save money on poly outdoor furniture. Folks often express concern, over the phone, that something must be wrong with the furniture seen on this website since the prices are so much lower than poly outdoor furniture sold elsewhere. It is quite common that after our customers see the furniture in person, they load up as many pieces as they can fit in their vehicles. This customer called from New Jersey to reserve maybe a porch swing and maybe some folding Adirondack chairs if they liked the furniture after seeing it in person. They ended up buying 8 folding Adirondack chairs, 1 porch swing, 6 Adirondack footrests, 4 accent tables and 4 bent poly rocking chairs. I think it's fair to say they liked what they saw when they got here!
Polywood’s chairs come in a wide variety of colors, with 13 vibrant colors to choose from (shown here in Sunset Red). These beauties are made in the USA and are built with environmentally-friendly recycled materials.

We received our chairs and absolutely love them. Thank you and we will be sure to recommend your company to others.
Lots of small everyday household products, such as milk jugs, are made with HDPE. When you put those HDPE products in your recycling container, they’re often recycled into bigger everyday household products, such as trashcans, or — you guessed it — outdoor furniture. In the case of HDPE, the recycling process is sometimes referred to as “downcycling” because the original HDPE experiences some changes to its basic property types during the recycling process, and can’t be recycled a second time (when it’s in its outdoor furniture form).

I did the exact same thing this weekend. I used the same green. I used seaside for the blue. I also painted one ye!low & one red. Did the same w/ my yardsale lanterns. It prompted my husband to buy a matching patio umbrella.
I don’t know about you but I’ll be spending a good chunk of the summer in our backyard. I can just see myself with a (sometimes adult) beverage in hand watching my kiddos play. It is like a dream…until I realized that there’s no great place to sit! Ya see, we’ve had these disgusting plastic Adirondack chairs for years that leave a white chalky mark on your bee-hind.
